SMERC 2021: That’s a wrap!

We were proud to be a part of the exciting Surface Mining Emergency Response Competition 2021 over the weekend, with SETS sponsoring the Best New Captain award and Kevin adjudicating at the Incident Management Event. 

 

Taking place at Evolution Mining’s Mungari Operations in Kalgoorlie, nine teams showcased their mines rescue skills and expertise as they competed in a range of realistic emergency scenarios, including Hazchem, Confined Space, Team Skills, Rope Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, Fire Fighting, Theory, First Aid, and Incident Management.

 

Well done to all the teams for your dedication and hard work in protecting lives every day and keeping our mine sites safe! And congratulations to:
