Surface Mine Emergency Response Competition 2022: Mission Accomplished!

For another year running, SETS was delighted to be part of the Surface Mine Emergency Response Competition 2022 from the 29th April to the 1st May.

Hosted by Northern Star Kalgoorlie Operations at Hannans North Tourist Mine in Kalgoorlie, people were invited to watch the emergency scenarios unfold and see how the teams handled a range of life-like emergency scenarios, including Hazchem, Confined Space, Team Skills, Rope Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, Fire Fighting, Theory, First Aid, and Incident Management.

We are proud to have sponsored the Best New Captain award, with SETS trainer, Luke Overall, flying the SETS flag and presenting at the Awards Night Dinner.

Well done to all the teams and participants for your commitment and efforts to protect lives every day and keeping our mine sites safe! And congratulations to:
